Pearson Test of English (PTE) – English Requirement Update!

From 7 August 2025, new English test score requirements will apply to visa applications lodged on or after this date.

If you took the PTE before 7 August 2025, and your result is less than 3 years old at the time of application, it can still be used for your new visa application.

If you take the PTE on or after 7 August 2025, the new minimum score requirements under the updated rules will apply.

For Subclass 186 applications, the required English level is Competent English.
