Stages for SID application

1. Sponsorship Application

The first step involves the employer apply to become an approved sponsor (if they are not already approved)

2. Nomination Application

Once sponsorship is in place, the employer nominates the specific role to be filled.

3. Visa Application

After the nomination is lodged, the visa applicant can submit their application.

Process of a SID visa

Eligibility for the SID Visa

To qualify for the SID visa, you must meet the requirements relevant to your nominated stream. Generally, the following conditions apply:

You must have a valid job offer or sponsorship from an approved Australian employer.
Your occupation must be listed on the relevant Skills in Demand list (varies by stream).
